A Promising Life Cut Short
Luke was born on April 28, 2003, to Samantha Martin and Richard Dorman, and from a young age, he exhibited a passion for learning, sports, and building meaningful relationships. He graduated from Washington County High School in 2021, where he not only excelled academically, graduating with honors, but also made significant contributions to his community and school.
Luke’s love for baseball and golf stood out throughout his youth. He was a natural athlete, demonstrating technical expertise in both sports and showing a talent for mastering even the most challenging aspects of them. His passion and dedication were not limited to the field; Luke’s desire to learn also extended to his academic pursuits.
He was an active member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA), where he participated in various competitions and helped Washington County High School secure numerous local and state awards. His commitment to his school, community, and extracurricular activities earned him the respect and admiration of his peers, teachers, and coaches.
After high school, Luke continued to pursue his dreams and education, enrolling at Coastal Alabama Community College and later transferring to the University of South Alabama. He was on track to graduate in May 2026 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, a field he had always been passionate about. Luke’s intellectual curiosity and dedication to his studies were evident, and he was excited about the future that awaited him.
